Ultra Low-Point Crab Cakes (Joe’s Crab Shack Style – WW Version)

Classic crab cakes with a golden crust and soft seafood center — but lightened so they fit easily into your daily points.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat (fresh or canned, well drained)
  • ⅓ cup nonfat Greek yogurt (swap for mayonnaise)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp blackened seasoning
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 cup panko-style breadcrumbs (slightly reduced amount)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Oil spray

Optional (Restaurant Flavor Boost)

  • 1 tsp Old Bay or seafood seasoning
  • Pinch garlic powder
  • Pinch paprika

Instructions

1️⃣ Mix Base
In a bowl combine:
Greek yogurt, egg yolks, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, lemon juice, and seasonings.

2️⃣ Add Crab
Gently fold in crab meat and parsley.

3️⃣ Form Cakes
Add breadcrumbs gradually until mixture holds together.
Form into 12 crab cakes.

4️⃣ Chill (Important)
Refrigerate 20–30 minutes to help cakes hold shape.


Air Fryer Method (Best WW Option)

  • Spray air fryer basket lightly.
  • Place crab cakes in a single layer.
  • Spray tops lightly with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping once, until golden.

Pan Option

Cook in a non-stick pan with cooking spray until golden on both sides.
