  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Oven

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (400 g) diced or crushed tomatoes
  • 1½–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or both)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.

  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  5. Stir in the diced tomatoes, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 5–10 minutes so the flavors combine.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the cooked rice.
  7. Transfer everything to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
