๐ Ingredients
- Fresh apples (any variety)
- Cold water
- Lemon-lime soda (Sprite or 7-Up)
โจ Lower-Point Option (Recommended)
- Diet lemon-lime soda or
- 1โ2 tbsp lemon juice in water
๐ฉโ๐ณ Instructions
- Slice apples into thin wedges.
- Soak in cold water for 3โ5 minutes.
- Drain.
- Soak slices in lemon-lime soda (or diet version) for 3โ5 minutes.
- Drain lightly.
- Divide into snack-size portions.
- Store in Ziploc bags in the fridge.
They stay fresh and bright much longer without browning.
๐ก Why This Works
The citrus + carbonation helps slow oxidation (that browning effect).
Using diet soda keeps it zero points and still works great.
