Ingredients:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup milk (any kind – dairy or plant-based)
- ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1-2 tsp chia seeds (optional, for thickness and nutrition)
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- A handful of fresh blueberries
- A spoonful of blueberry compote or blueberry syrup (optional, for the swirl effect on top)
Instructions:
- Mix the base:
- In a glass container or jar, mix the rolled oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, honey/maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Stir well to combine.
- Let it sit:
- Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours).
- Top it off:
- In the morning, stir the oats. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk.
- Top with a generous spoonful of yogurt.
- Add fresh blueberries and drizzle with blueberry syrup or compote if desired.
- Enjoy!
- Eat cold straight from the fridge or let it sit out for a few minutes if you prefer it closer to room temperature.
