• 8 oz whole wheat or fiber-enriched pasta (6 points)
• 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or skim milk (zero points)
• 1/3 cup reduced-fat parmesan cheese (4 points)
• 1/4 cup reduced-fat cream cheese (4 points)
Instructions:
1. In a large pot, cook the lean ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add the butter, garlic, and onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
3. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Add the pasta and reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and let simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked.
