Ingredients (8 servings / 8 sticks):

  • 8 light mozzarella sticks (part-skim, low-moisture)
  • 8 slices center-cut bacon or turkey bacon
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s Red Hot)
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon light butter or 0-cal cooking spray

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the hot sauce, spices, and melted light butter (or use cooking spray and skip the butter entirely).
  3. Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of turkey bacon. Use a toothpick if needed to secure.
  4. Brush or lightly coat the wrapped sticks with the hot sauce mixture.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and cheese is just starting to melt.
  6. Cool slightly, remove any toothpicks, and serve!
