Notes

Storage:

  • To Store: Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Please keep in mind that this dip is made of several different fresh and canned vegetables, and that means that there will be natural juices that will be released.
  • Make Ahead: You can definitely make this 7 layer dip the night before. Store it covered in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.

Tips:

  • You can add a layer of seasoned ground meat to make your dip a bit meaty. Add a layer of ground beef, ground turkey, or ground pork just above the beans.
  • Change up the spice level to match your preferences. If you like things hot and spicy use a hot salsa, hot guacamole and add some chili powder to your beans. If you like a less-spicy layered dip, use mild ingredients. Or play around with something in the middle until you get just the right heat level to meet your needs.
  • You can add even more toppings, such as scallions, jalapeños, pico de gallo, crushed corn chips, or any of your favorites. No need to stop at 7 layers!
