Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Equipment

  • Food Processor
  • VitaMix
  • Dessert Glasses

Ingredients

  • 4 medium very-ripe bananas, peeled and frozen

Instructions

  • Place the frozen banana pieces in a food processor or high-powered blender.
  • Puree until creamy, 2-3 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Serve immediately if you like the texture of soft serve.
  • For a firmer texture, transfer the mixture to an airtight container and place it in the freezer for about an hour. If the mixture gets too hard, let it soften for about 10 minutes.

This basic recipe can be modified lots of ways.

You can stir in miniature chocolate chips (like I did for the picture above), nuts, peanut butter, Nutella, or granola.

Or, combine the bananas with other frozen fruit like strawberries, blueberries, pineapple or mango.

The options are really endless once you get your creative juices flowing.

You may need a little bit of yogurt or milk when combining various fruits to achieve your desired consistency.
